This systematic review studied micronutrient deficiencies and low dietary intakes in community-dwelling older adults. 37 articles were included. The levels of the nutrients vitamin D, thiamin, riboflavin, Ca, Mg and Se were considered to pose a potential health risk. The relevance of these findings depends on various factors, such as supplement use, absorption and utilisation, approach for measurement and the choice of a reference value.
