Clinical studies allow us to investigate the effect of our products in the target population. We conduct our studies in collaboration with independent investigators in various healthcare settings, such as hospitals and nursing homes.
We support healthcare professionals in practising ‘evidence-based medicine’ by extensively researching our products scientifically. This starts with assessing the tolerance, acceptance and nutritional values of a product. Then, we conduct studies to determine the efficacy and health economic value.
To ensure our clinical evidence meets high quality standards, we perform studies according to internationally applied scientific and ethical standards, such as ICH-GCP guidelines and the WHO code. Our clinical research standards are continuously updated to take state of the art methodologies and processes into account. We work with healthcare professionals to conduct clinical studies at centres in various regions. We were recertified in March 2016 for our ISO 9001:2008 certification. Our aim is to provide credible data for healthcare professionals and authorities.
As a member of the industry Clinical Research Working Group (CRWG) we work with other nutrition companies on harmonizing Nutrition Industry Clinical Research standards, and on enhancing the appreciation of the scientific value and credibility of Nutrition Industry-Sponsored Clinical Research.
